I thought I’d share with you 7 of my favourite features on Indy’s Deck since her refit was completed.
Have you sailed on her? What was your favourite part? Let me know in the comments.
It’s fun by the gallon in the new Splashaway Bay. The water park features exciting slides & sea creature water cannons, it’ll keep the kids busy for hours on end. There’s shallow water perfect for babies & toddlers to have a paddle around in too.
It’s so nerve wracking waiting for the drench bucket to fill up because as soon as it does everyone gets soaked! Splashaway Bay is sure to keep the kids entertained whilst you sip a daiquiri in the hot tub next to it, the perfect supervision spot!
The Perfect Storm
This is another new addition to the refurbished Independence of the Seas. You can race friends and family on this 3-storey high water slide, just pick a side (cyclone or typhoon) and enjoy the perfect storm. It’s clear panels will make for thrilling ride!
A classic on Royal Caribbeans ships. The guides will assist you in perfecting you body/surf boarding skills. Even if you don’t join in I’d recommend heading up there just to watch the wipeouts!
Check the daily activities sheet to see which activity is on and at what time as they do the body boarding and surf boarding at separate times. Flowrider is included in your fare and you don’t need to reserve.
Independence Dunes have moved to deck 14 and will give you awesome sea views as you perfect your mini golf skills. There’s lots of fun levels for you to enjoy with the kids or take the other half for a nostalgic date-night. Mini golf is included in your fare and you don’t need to reserve.
The luckey climber is a beautiful arty structure made up of large colourful pads surrounded by a net. Kids can jump in and explore this innovative play area whilst you relax in the hammocks or swinging seats situated right next door.
Sky Pad is the all new must-try feature on Indy. It’s included in your fare and you don’t need to reserve a place. It’s a virtual reality trampoline where the aim is to jump and combat virtual robots but you can choose not to wear the VR headset and just bounce and try out a somersault or two if you’d prefer.
Tip: Expect a major wedgie if you wear shorts!
Fish & Ships
Fish & Ships is a taste of home. Situated right next to the pool it’s surrounded by colourful beach chairs to lounge in. They serve portions of chips, battered fish and there’s even a deep fried chocolate bar on the menu!!
These items aren’t included in your fare and come with a surcharge. ($9 for fish & chips)
