Week 2 UPDATE: Losing weight for the cruise – MY WAY!

So it’s the end of another week losing weight my way. I feel like I’ve been really naughty this week… too many snickers, a cheeky cupcake & even some ice cream, in my defence it was my brothers birthday and it would have been rude not to.

However I’m happy to announce I have still lost! A modest 2lb this week, it’s a lot less than last week but I’m happy, anything is better than nothing.

As promised, I have done a diary of my meals. I think making a note of what I eat is actually helping me stay on track. (along with thousands of you reading about my progressπŸ™ˆ) Ignore the flapjack for lunch part…

Food Diary

. : Sunday
Breakfast : Omelette with mushrooms & cheese
Lunch : Wholemeal pasta and mexican bean salad with eggs and salad leaves
Dinner : Lemon porridge (was craving something sweet) πŸ™ˆ
Snacks : Snickers bar

. : Monday
Breakfast : Porridge with banana added after cooking
Lunch : Eggs baked in chopped tomatoes and wholegrain rice
Dinner : Spaghetti Bolognese – mince/chopped toms/garlic and 1 beef stock
Snacks : Snickers πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

. : Tuesday
Breakfast : Banana
Lunch : Eggs cooked in tomatoes
Dinner : Chicken pittas with lettuce and homemade taziki (fat free Greek yogurt, cucumber, corriander & concentrated mint) with sweet potato fries (oven baked)
Snacks : Cupcake (it was my brothers birthdayπŸ˜‚)

. : Wednesday
Breakfast : Lemon porridge with honey
Lunch : Sweet potato jacket, mushrooms sweated in garlic, brown rice & boiled egg
Dinner : Sourdough pizza – 2 slices of cheese & 2 slices of vegetable

. : Thursday
Breakfast : Skipped breakfast – went out early and forgot πŸ™ˆ
Lunch : Malt loaf 120g ish – too busy today didn’t find time to cook!
Dinner : Chicken Quesadillas with a homemade salsa – yum! 😍
Snacks : Snickers ice cream – naughty!πŸ‘Ž

. : Friday
Breakfast : Banana
Lunch : Crustless queich made with onions, mushrooms peppers & green beans. Served with avocado & salad leaves
Dinner : Sweet potato, cheesy garlic mushrooms, wholegrain rice & salad

. : Saturday
Breakfast : Pear and a small slice of banana soreen loaf.

Lunch : flapjack πŸ™ˆ went out with the kids and there wasn’t a healthy option on the cafe menu!!

Dinner : Creamy steak and mushroom pasta with sweet potato and new potato wedges and salad leaves.

I’ve eaten really well this week, I’ve had some delicious food and quite enjoyed cooking it. We’ve not had to overspend on food either so i’m more than happy. The sourdough pizza was brought over for us by relatives and it turns out sourdough is fine on the Low GI diet. Wooooo πŸ•

Exercise didn’t quite go to plan, did a 5k walk Monday and a few sit ups/squats throughout the rest of the week but nothing to shout about. Next week is going to be focused on exercise and I’ll be writing up a daily exercise diary, pressures on!

Just over 2 weeks to go until the cruise, eeeeek!
