Books are a must when I’m on holiday but I’m easily distracted by my surroundings and we all know how busy it gets on the pool deck on a hot day! 2 minutes reading and I’ve lost my spot, lost interest and lost the will.
So I now choose to listen to my books using Audible, this way I can still people-watch and not miss out on my book-fix. It also frees up space in my suitcase and doesn’t require Wi-Fi so long as I remember to download my book before I set off to the ship! I can also leave my valuable tablet/e-reader at home as it’s just stored in my mobile, which would be coming with me regardless.
At first I just went for there 1 month free trial which included one free book of my choosing. I decided not to continue after the trial and my book was still available in my library, fab! Obviously I fell in love with listening and ended up reactivating my subscription, now every month I get a credit to use on any book I want.
My current read is: Why Mummy Drinks by Gill Sims.
I’m a new mum and this type of book really appeals to me. It gives me a good giggle and an insight into my future. 🙈
My all time favourite audio book is: Happy Mum Happy Baby by Giovanna Fletcher.
Best audiobook ever! A feel good, inspirational book that every mum should read/listen. It’s not a how-to book telling you how to raise your babies but a story of one woman’s journey raising her two boys.
My next read: Parenting the Sh*t out of Life by Mother Pukka & Papa Pukka
As you can see there’s a pattern to the books I’m listening to.. I’ve got a credit to use this month so I’ll be downloading this ready for my next mini break. (Royal Caribbean 15th May 2017) We’ve got a long drive down to Southampton from Sheffield and this book should give me a good giggle between service station bum changes and feeds.
So to summarize… Audiobooks are a must for this Cruise Addict. Less to pack, less to remember, more people watching! Click here for a one month free trial and a credit to use on any audiobook. Enjoy and let me know what you think!
Thanks for reading,
Sea you again soon!🌊
